FAQ

Q: What is the difference between the K01 and K02?
A: The K01 is our cordless, precision laser mask (460nm blue, 665nm red, 850nm NIR, 1064nm laser) designed for a seamless, one easy velcro strap, and wire-free ritual. The K02 is our Face + Chin mask (415nm blue, 630nm red, 850nm NIR, 1072nm laser) featuring a flexible design to treat the jawline and chin. It also includes a 10Hz pulse mode for a more dynamic light session.

Q: How often should I use my mask?
A: For best results, we recommend 3–5 times per week, for 5–15 minutes per session. The K01 has a timer you can set to 5, 10 or 15 minutes and the K02 runs automatic for 10-minutes with an automatic shut-off to keep your ritual effortless.

Q: Is it safe for my eyes?
A: The K01 is designed as a low-intensity, cordless mask that sits slightly off the eyes, so it doesn't include goggles. The K02 includes extra silicone safety goggles. For any LED session, we always recommend keeping your eyes closed for the duration as a cautious best practice.

Q: Are there any safety precautions?
A: Yes. Please perform a light sensitivity test on your inner arm for 10 minutes before your first facial use. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and keep out of reach of children without adult supervision. Avoid using photosensitizing medications or skincare prior to your session. Never use for more than 20 minutes daily. If you have melasma or heat-sensitive dark spots, consult a dermatologist before use—the gentle heat from LED devices may worsen pigmentation. Discontinue use immediately if you experience any discomfort.

Q: Is this a medical device? Does it treat acne or wrinkles?
A: No. Karakol masks are cosmetic beauty and wellness devices, not medical devices. They are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Our wavelengths are designed to support your skin’s natural renewal and promote a visible glow as part of your daily ritual. (Note: We cite peer-reviewed dermatology research on our site to explain how these wavelengths work, but we do not make medical claims.)

Q: What is your return policy?
A: For hygiene and safety reasons, we can only accept returns on unopened and unused masks within 14 days of delivery. A small restocking fee applies to cover transaction processing.
If your device arrives faulty or defective, please contact us immediately. Covered by our 1-year warranty, we will cover the return shipping, confirm the defect, and ship a replacement at no cost to you.

Q: Do you ship to the US, Mexico, and Hong Kong?
A: Yes, we currently ship to Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Hong Kong. Please contact us to ship outside of these regions.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: Karakol offers a 1-year guarantee covering material and craftsmanship defects under normal use. This excludes misuse, neglect, or unauthorized repairs.

Q: Why is it called a "Founding Price"?
A: Because we are a new brand, we are offering our earliest customers introductory 20% off pricing. The K01 is currently $399 CAD (Regular Retail $499), and the K02 is $274 CAD (Regular Retail $349). This is our way of saying thank you for being part of our launch.
